INSTALLATION (To 8/2009): Installation
- INSTALL ECM
- Install the 2 brackets to the ECM with the 5 screws.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*1 ECM Bracket - Install the ECM with bracket with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 70 in.*lbf)
- Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.

NOTE:- When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not become stuck between the connectors and other part.
- Make sure that the 2 levers are securely locked.
- Install the wire harness clamp.
- Install the wire harness clamp.
- Install the 2 brackets to the ECM with the 5 screws.
- INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY See step 2
- INSTALL BATTERY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 71
- INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 72
- INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 73
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 113
- INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 17
- INSTALL FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP (w/ Air Suspension) . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
- INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY
- Install the windshield wiper motor and link assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
HINT:
Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.
- The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be input into a replacement ECM. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- If the ECM has been replaced, register the ECM communication ID for the immobilizer system. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
- Perform Initialization when replacing the ECM See step 14.
