INSTALLATION (To 8/2009): Installation

  1. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Install the 2 brackets to the ECM with the 5 screws.

      *1 ECM Bracket
    2. Install the ECM with bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 70 in.*lbf) 

    3. Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.

      NOTE:
      • When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not become stuck between the connectors and other part.
      • Make sure that the 2 levers are securely locked.
    4. Install the wire harness clamp.
    5. Install the wire harness clamp.

  2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY  See step  2
  3. INSTALL BATTERY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 71
  4. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 72
  5. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 73
  6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  7. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 113
  8. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 17
  9. INSTALL FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP (w/ Air Suspension)  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  10. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the windshield wiper motor and link assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
  11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 

    HINT: 

    Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.

    1. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be input into a replacement ECM. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
    2. If the ECM has been replaced, register the ECM communication ID for the immobilizer system. Refer to INITIALIZATION .
    3. Perform Initialization when replacing the ECM See step  14.
