Yaw Rate And Acceleration Sensor: Removal: Removal
While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:- w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

- REMOVE NO. 3 BOX PANEL . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
- REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL UPPER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
- REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 6
- REMOVE REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
- REMOVE CONSOLE COVER LOWER . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 8
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 9
- REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT
- Detach the connector clamp (labeled A).
- Remove the 2 clips (labeled B) and No. 1 duct.
- REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR
- Remove the 2 bolts and sensor.
- Disconnect the sensor connector.NOTE:
- Make sure the yaw rate sensor's identification number is 9.
- Do not drop the yaw rate sensor. If it is dropped, do not use it.
