Oil Pump: Reassembly: Reassembly

  1. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP OIL SEAL 
    1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal.

      • SST: 09350-30020 
        • 09351-32140

      Standard depth

      -0.2 to 0.2 mm (-0.00787 to 0.00787 in.)

      HINT: 

      The oil seal end should be flush with the outer edge of the pump body.

    2. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.
  2. SECURE FRONT OIL PUMP BODY SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Place the oil pump body on the torque converter clutch.
  3. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVEN GEAR 
    1. Coat the driven gear with ATF.

    2. Install the driven gear to the oil pump body.
  4. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR 
    1. Coat the drive gear with ATF.

    2. Install the drive gear to the oil pump body.
  5. INSTALL FRONT OIL PUMP BODY O-RING 
    1. Coat a new O-ring with ATF.

    2. Install the O-ring to the oil pump body.
  6. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Align the 2 bolt holes on the stator shaft and install the shaft as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf) 

  7. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT CLUTCH DRUM THRUST WASHER 
    1. Align the 2 claws and install the thrust washer.

  8. INSTALL STATOR SHAFT PISTON 
    1. Coat 2 new O-rings with ATF and install them to the stator shaft piston.

    2. Install the stator shaft piston and stator shaft spring sub-assembly.

    3. Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, install the 5 bolts.

      Torque: 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf) 

  9. INSPECT OIL PUMP DRIVE GEAR ROTATION  See step  5
  10. INSTALL CLUTCH DRUM OIL SEAL RING 
    1. Coat 4 new oil seal rings with ATF.
    2. Squeeze the ends of the 4 oil seal rings so that the gap becomes 8 mm (0.315 in.) or less, and then install them to the stator shaft groove.

      NOTE:

      Do not expand the ring ends excessively.

      HINT: 

      After installing the oil seal rings, check that they rotate smoothly.

  11. INSTALL OIL PUMP O-RING 
    1. Install a new O-ring to the oil pump.
