How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

• Use this procedure to troubleshoot the LEXUS ENFORM system.
• *: Use the Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

   NEXT: Go to next step 

2. CHECK THE CUSTOMER, S CONTRACT STATUS 
   1. Check if the satellite radio and LEXUS ENFORM contract are valid, or if the contract period has ended using the vehicle inquiry function on TIS.

      Result

      Result	Proceed to
      Both Contracts are valid.	A
      Contract for satellite radio is not valid.	B
      Contract for LEXUS ENFORM is not valid.	C

      B → GO TO AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (w/ Navigation System). Refer to  SYSTEM DESCRIPTION 

      C → GO TO SAFETY CONNECT SYSTEM. Refer to  SYSTEM DESCRIPTION 

      A: Go to next step 

3. CHECK FOR DTC* 
   1. Perform Health Check. Refer to HEALTH CHECK .
   2. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
   3. Clear the DTC.
   4. Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.

      Result

      Audio and visual system DTC is output.	B
      Safety connect system DTC is output.	C
      Navigation System DTC is output.	D

      B → GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART (Audio and Visual System (w/ Navigation System)). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 

      C → GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART (Safety Connect System). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 

      D → GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART (Navigation System). Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART 

      A: Go to next step 

4. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
   1. Refer to Problem Symptoms Table. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE .

      Fault is listed in Problem Symptoms Table.	B

      HINT: 

      If the symptom does not recur and no DTC is output, perform the symptom reproduction method. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .

5. PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING 
   1. Refer to Terminals of ECU. Refer to TERMINALS OF ECU .
