Yaw Rate Sensor Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector (J115).
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      J115-3 (CANH) - J115-2 (CANL) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CANL) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, GND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      J115-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      J115-4 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V

    OK → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL
