Navigation ECU Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NAVIGATION ECU BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Disconnect the display and navigation module display (navigation ECU) connector (J100).

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J100-21 (CANH) - J100-22 (CANL) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU BRANCH WIRE) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J100-10 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J100-1 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      J100-2 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      J100-3 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY (NAVIGATION ECU)
