Shift Paddle Switch: Removal: Removal

  1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD) 
    NOTE:

    After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD 
  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative(-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  4. REMOVE LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 3
  5. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 4
  6. REMOVE STEERING PAD  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
  7. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
  8. REMOVE SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH 
    1. Disconnect the clamp from the steering wheel assembly.

    2. Disconnect the switch wire connector from the steering wheel assembly.
    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors from the 2 shift paddle switches, and remove the switch wire.

    4. Remove the 4 screws, 2 brackets and 2 shift paddle switches.
