Gateway ECU Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Disconnect the gateway ECU connector.

      *1 Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Gateway ECU)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      J76-24 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      J76-10 (BATT) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      J76-2 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      J76-1 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. REPLACE GATEWAY ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL
