Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (DOOR MIRROR FOOT LIGHT) 

    HINT:

    (See INSPECTION  ).

    NG: REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR - ECU AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the E65 outer mirror control ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the 13 or H4 outer rear view mirror connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table.

      Standard resistance: LH Side 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E65-17 (LP) - I3-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      I3-12- Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E65-17 (LP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      RH Side 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E65-37 (LP) - H4-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      H4-12 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E65-37 (LP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
