Actuator Power Source Circuit: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (TI & TE) 
    1. Remove the TI & TE fuse from the driver side junction block.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard resistance

      Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

    1. Disconnect the T8 ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      T8-10 (+B) - Body ground 10 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      T8-4 (GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

    OK → REPLACE MULTIPLEX TILT AND TELESCOPIC ECU
