Mute Signal Circuit between Navigation Assembly and Multi-display Controller: Procedure

  1. CHECK MULTI-DISPLAY SELECTOR 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L23-6 (MUT5) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC), audio system is playing → changing modes 3.5 V or higher → Below 1 V

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → See step   3 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY - MULTI-DISPLAY SELECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the F34 navigation module display connector.

    2. Disconnect the L23 selector connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F34-8 (MUTE) - L23-6 (MUT5) Always Below 1 Ω
      F34-8 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  4. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL
