Outside Moulding: Installation

HINT
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side
- When installing the moulding, heat the vehicle body and moulding using a heat light
Standard heating temperature
TEMPERATURE SPECIFICATION

| Moulding | 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) |
NOTE:
Do not heat the vehicle body and moulding excessively.
- INSTALL FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Clean the vehicle body surface
- Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface
- Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner
- If reusing the moulding.
Clean the moulding.
- Using a heat light, heat the moulding
- Remove the double-sided tape from the moulding
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner
- Apply new double-sided tape to the moulding, as shown in the illustration.
- Install the moulding
- Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and moulding
- Remove the peeling paper from the face of the moulding
HINT.
After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter
- Attach the 2 clips to install the moulding.
HINT.
Press the moulding firmly to install it
- Clean the vehicle body surface
- INSTALL FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Clean the vehicle body surface
- Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.
- Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner
- If reusing the moulding.
Clean the moulding
- Using a heat light, heat the moulding
- Remove the double-sided tape from the moulding
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner
- Apply new double-sided tape to the moulding, as shown in the illustration
- Install the moulding
- Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and moulding
- Remove the peeling paper from the face of the moulding
HINT
After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter
- Attach the 6 clips to install the moulding
HINT
Press the moulding firmly to install it
- Install the nut and front door hole plug
- Clean the vehicle body surface
- INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
- Clean the vehicle body surface
- Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface
- Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner
- If reusing the moulding
Clean the moulding
- Using a heat light, heat the moulding
- Remove the double-sided tape from the moulding
- Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner
- Apply new double-sided tape to the moulding, as shown in the illustration.
- Install the moulding.
- Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and moulding
- Remove the peeling paper from the face of the moulding.
HINT.

- Attach the 4 clips to install the moulding.
HINT.
Press the moulding firmly to install it.
- Install the nut and rear door hole plug
- Clean the vehicle body surface
