Diagnosis System

  1. INITIAL CHECK 
    1. 2 seconds or more after turning the power switch OFF, turning the power switch ON (IG) causes the pre-collision system to perform an initial check for approximately 3 seconds.
    2. If a malfunction is detected in the initial check, after the 3 second initial check, the combination meter assembly's multi-information display displays "Check PCS system".

    HINT.

    "Check PCS system" is displayed when a pre-collision system malfunction has been detected and a DTC is output.

  2. CONSTANT CHECK 
    1. After the 3 second initial check, the seat belt control ECU and driving support ECU control the system, and perform a constant check to monitor the system
    2. If a malfunction is detected in the constant check, the combination meter assembly's multi-information display displays "Check PCS system" or "PCS not Available Now"

      HINT:

      "PCS not Available Now" is displayed during the following conditions 1) the seat belt control ECU's overheat protection function has operated; 2) due to bad weather, the radar cannot detect obstacles; 3) foreign matter is attached to the grille cover or front millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.
