Hard Disk Drive: Removal

  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:
    • After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    • When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
  4. REMOVE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the display and navigation (see REMOVAL ).
  5. REMOVE DISC PLAYER DISC 
    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration to remove it.

    3. Remove the disc player disc in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.
