Inspection Procedure

- CHECK BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
- Check that the brake warning light comes on when the parking brake is applied and goes off when it is released.
OK: The brake warning light operates as specified above.
NG: GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
OK: Go to next step
- Check that the brake warning light comes on when the parking brake is applied and goes off when it is released.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION ASSEMBLY [MULTI-DISPLAY] - MAIN BODY ECU)
- Disconnect the L59 display connector.
- Disconnect the L12 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHARTTester Connection Condition Specified Condition L59-23 (PKB) - L12-13 (PKBO) Always Below 1 Ω L59-23 (PKB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
