Roof Headlining: Installation

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).

  1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.
  2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
    1. Install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip as shown in the illustration
  4. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  5. TEMPORARILY INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Place the roof headlining into the vehicle through the front side

      HINT:

      Temporarily install the roof headlining so that the windshield can be installed.

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 WINDSHIELD GLASS STOPPER  (See INSTALLATION )

      Install the rain sensor cover (see INSTALLATION ).

  18. INSTALL CENTER ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOLDING LH 
    1. Install the center roof drip side finish molding (see INSTALLATION )

    1. for Standard Type.

      Attach the hook, 12 claws, 3 fasteners and 4 clips to install the roof headlining

    2. w/ Sliding Roof.

      Attach the hook, 12 claws, 10 fasteners and 4 clips to install the roof headlining.

    3. w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System*

      Attach the hook, 12 claws, 8 fasteners and 4 clips to install the roof headlining.

    4. Connect the roof wire connectors and attach each clamp.

  29. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures to install the holder on the other side.

    1. Push in the visor holder and turn it approximately 45° as shown in the illustration.
    2. Push in the visor holder as shown in the illustration

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures for the other 3 assist grips.

    1. Assemble the assist grip, 2 clips and 2 covers as shown in the illustration
    2. Install the assist grip

    1. Attach the claw to install the roof side register bezel
    2. Install the screw.

    1. Connect the connector
    2. Attach the claw to install the vanity light
    3. Install the 2 screws
    4. Attach the 4 claws to install the lens

  38. INSTALL SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System) 
    1. Connect the connector
    2. Attach the 4 claws to install the spot light.

  39. INSTALL ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System) 
    1. w/o Infrared Rays Sensor:

      Connect the connector, then attach the 6 clips and 2 claws to install the roof console box.

    2. w/ Infrared Rays Sensor

      Connect the 2 connectors, then attach the 6 clips and 2 claws to install the roof console box.

    3. Install the 2 screws

    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the spot light lens.

  41. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. w/ Sliding Roof.

      Connect the drive gear connector.

    2. Connect the 2 map light connectors
    3. Attach the 2 clips to install the map light
    4. Install the 2 screws.
    5. Attach the 2 claws to close the 2 covers.

  42. INSTALL INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH 
    1. Install a new clip A on the inner roof side garnish.
    2. Attach the 5 clips and 2 claws to install the inner roof side garnish.
