Data List / Active Test

  1. DATA LIST 

    HINT

    Using the Intelligent tester or Techstream to read the DATA LIST allows values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the DATA LIST information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

    NOTE: In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
    1. Connect the Intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3
    2. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
    3. Turn the tester on
    4. Using the Intelligent tester or Techstream, entire the following menus
      1. Intelligent tester - Select. DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MODE/ (desired system) / DATA LIST.
      2. Techstream - Select All ECUs/ (desired system / Data List.
    5. According to the display on tester, read the "DATA LIST"

  2. ACTIVE TEST 

    HINT:

    Using the Intelligent tester or Techstream to perform ACTIVE TEST allows relays, VSVs, actuators and parts This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed Performing ACTIVE TEST early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time DATA LIST information can be display while performing ACTIVE TEST.

    1. Connect the Intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch ON (IG).
    3. Turn the tester on.
      1. Intelligent tester - Select DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MODE/ (desired system) / ACTIVE TEST.
      2. Techstream - Select. Body Electrical / (desired system) / Active Test.
    4. According to the display on tester, perform the "ACTIVE TEST"
