Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Removal

  1. REMOVE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle (see REMOVAL ).
  2. REMOVE NO. 3 FUEL TANK PROTECTOR 
    1. Release the lock and then turn the protector and remove it.

  3. REMOVE FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR 
    1. Disconnect the pressure sensor connector
    2. Remove the tube joint clip and pressure sensor.
      NOTE:
      • Before removing the tube joint clip, check for foreign matter around the tube joint clip. Clean if necessary.
      • Keep the O-ring free of foreign matter, as it becomes contaminated easily.
      • Do not use any tools in this procedure.
      • Be careful not to damage the tube joint clip. If the tube joint clip is damaged, replace it.

  4. REMOVE FUEL TANK BREATHER TUBE GASKET 
    1. Remove the 4 screws, fuel tank protector plate, fuel tank EVAP tube support plate and gasket
