Section 13 (Emission Control): Canister: Installation

INSTALL CANISTER
1. Connect the fuel tank vent hose labeled A.
  1. Connect the fuel tank vent hose as shown in the illustration (1). Then push down the retainer to lock the claws as shown in the illustration (2).
    NOTE:
    Check that there are no scratches or foreign objects around the connected part of the fuel tank vent hose connector and charcoal canister before performing this work.
    
    After connecting the fuel tank vent tube, check that the fuel tank vent hose is securely connected by pulling the fuel tank vent hose connector and charcoal canister.

2. Connect the air inlet line hose labeled B shown in the illustration to the leak detection pump.
3. Connect the purge line hose labeled C shown in the illustration.
4. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps and connect the connector
5. Install the charcoal canister with the 4 bolts and 2 plastic nuts.
  Torque: for bolt
  
  21 N*m (215 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)

6. Connect the fuel tank vent hose to the clamp labeled A shown in the illustration.
7. Connect the air inlet line hose (connected to the leak detection pump) labeled B shown in the illustration to the air inlet line tube
8. Connect the purge line hose labeled C shown in Fig 4.
INSTALL FLOOR NO. 1 UNDER COVER
1. Install the under cover with the 5 nuts and 5 clips.
2. Install the 2 hole plugs.
