Section 13 (Emission Control): Canister: Installation

- INSTALL CANISTER
- Connect the fuel tank vent hose labeled A.
- Connect the fuel tank vent hose as shown in the illustration (1). Then push down the retainer to lock the claws as shown in the illustration (2).NOTE:
- Check that there are no scratches or foreign objects around the connected part of the fuel tank vent hose connector and charcoal canister before performing this work.
- After connecting the fuel tank vent tube, check that the fuel tank vent hose is securely connected by pulling the fuel tank vent hose connector and charcoal canister.
- Connect the fuel tank vent hose as shown in the illustration (1). Then push down the retainer to lock the claws as shown in the illustration (2).
- Connect the air inlet line hose labeled B shown in the illustration to the leak detection pump.
- Connect the purge line hose labeled C shown in the illustration.
- Attach the 2 wire harness clamps and connect the connector
- Install the charcoal canister with the 4 bolts and 2 plastic nuts.
Torque: for bolt
21 N*m (215 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the fuel tank vent hose to the clamp labeled A shown in the illustration.
- Connect the air inlet line hose (connected to the leak detection pump) labeled B shown in the illustration to the air inlet line tube
- Connect the purge line hose labeled C shown in Fig 4.
- Connect the fuel tank vent hose labeled A.
- INSTALL FLOOR NO. 1 UNDER COVER
- Install the under cover with the 5 nuts and 5 clips.
- Install the 2 hole plugs.
