Front Shock Absorber: Disassembly

HINT:

• Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
• The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT SUPPORT TO FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER LH NUT 
   1. Install SST to the front coil spring so that the distance between the upper and lower hooks is as wide as possible within the installation area.

      SST 09727-30021 (09727-00010, 09727-00021, 09727-00031) 

   2. Compress the front coil spring until it can be moved freely.
      NOTE: Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage SST.

      HINT:

      The front coil spring can also be compressed using a hydraulic spring compressor.

   3. Remove the nut.
2. REMOVE FRONT SUPPORT TO FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER LH COLLAR 
   1. Remove the collar from the shock absorber.
3. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
   1. Remove the suspension support assembly with the insulator upper from the shock absorber.
4. REMOVE FRONT COIL SPRING LH 
   1. Remove the coil spring from the shock absorber.
5. REMOVE FRONT COIL SPRING INSULATOR UPPER LH 
   1. Remove the insulator upper from the suspension support.
6. REMOVE FRONT COIL SPRING INSULATOR LOWER LH 
   1. Remove the insulator lower from the shock absorber.
