How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)* 
    1. Using the Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.

      Result 

      RESULT REFERENCE

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B22B3 is not output A
      DTC B22B3 is output B

      B: Go to ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM  (see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

      A: Go to next step 

  4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN Communication System is functioning normally.

      Result 

      RESULT REFERENCE

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

      B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (see CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM )

      A: Go to next step 

  5. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the LIN Communication System is functioning normally.

      Result 

      RESULT REFERENCE

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

      B: Go to LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

      A: Go to next step 

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to the PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  .

      Result 

      RESULT REFERENCE

      Result Proceed to
      Fault not listed in problem symptoms table A
      Fault listed in problem symptoms table B

      B:  Go to step  8

      A: Go to next step 

  7. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
    1. Data List/Active Test (see DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST  )
    2. Terminals of ECU (see TERMINALS OF ECU  )
    3. Operation Check (see OPERATION CHECK  )
  8. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
  9. CONFIRMATION TEST
