Transmission Control Switch: Inspection: Inspection

- INSPECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL SWITCH
- Disconnect the transmission control switch connector of the shift lock control unit assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Shift Position Specified Condition 3 (IG) - 7 (S) M, "+" and "-" Below 1 Ω 3 (IG) - 7 (S) Except M, "+" and "-" 10 kΩ or higher 2 (SFTU) - 5 (E) Press continuously "+" (Up shift) Below 1 Ω 2 (SFTU) - 5 (E) M 10 kΩ or higher 1 (SFTD) - 5 (E) Press continuously "-" (Down shift) Below 1 Ω 1 (SFTD) - 5 (E) M 10 kΩ or higher If the resistance value is not as specified, replace the transmission control switch.
