Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve Assembly: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Intake Side) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.

    2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve.

    3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
    4. Install the bracket with the 2 bolts.

      Bolt A 

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 104 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      Bolt B 

      Torque: 21 N*m ( 214 kgf*cm, 16 ft.*lbf) 

    5. Connect the 2 wire harness clamps to the bracket.
  2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 2 Exhaust Side) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.

    2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve.

    3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
  3. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Intake Side) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.

    2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve.

    3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
    4. Install the V-bank cover bracket with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

  4. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Bank 1 Exhaust Side) 
    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the camshaft timing oil control valve.

    2. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the bolt.

      Torque: 10 N*m ( 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked or jumped when installing the oil control valve.

    3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
  5. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 13
  6. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY  See step  1
  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE  See step  2
  8. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE  See step  3
  9. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 5
  10. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK  . Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION - Step 1
  11. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  12. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 4
  13. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 5
  14. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 6
  15. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING LH 
  16. INSTALL ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING RH 
  17. INSTALL FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9
  18. INSTALL FRONT FENDER PROTECTOR UPPER RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10
  19. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 115
  20. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 87
  21. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 88
  22. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 89
