System Outline
Door Lock Control System
The door lock control system is controlled by the body ECU.
This system has features listed below. However, the adopted function may differ depending on the installation.
- Manual Lock and Unlock Operation
Pressing the door lock control switch on the driver or front passenger door to the lock side will lock all the doors and pressing it to the unlock side will unlock all the doors.
- Key-Linked Lock and Unlock Function
This function, which is linked with the key cylinder, will lock or unlock all the doors when a lock or unlock operation is effected.
- Manual Unlock Prohibition Function
Performing a door lock operation with a transmitter or the ignition key will prohibit the unlock operation from being performed by any of the door lock control switches.
- 2-Step Unlock Function
If the key is inserted into the driver door key cylinder and turned a single time, then the driver door only will unlock. If it is turned a second time, then the passenger door will unlock.
- Key Confine Prevention Function
If the key is inserted in the ignition key cylinder and a door lock operation is performed, all the doors will be unlocked again automatically.
- Shift-Linked Automatic Door Lock
When the conditions listed below are met consecutively, this function causes all the doors to be automatically locked.
* The ignition switch is turned from the OFF or ACC position to the ON position.
* All the doors are closed.
* The shift lever is moved out of the P position.
* Either of the doors is unlocked.
- Theft Deterrent System-Linked Door Lock Function
When the body ECU receives a door lock signal from the theft deterrent system, the "lock all doors" operation will be performed in spite of the current door lock condition.
