Inspection Procedure: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  2. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT 
    1. Initialize the rotation angle sensor and calibrate the torque sensor zero point. Refer to CALIBRATION

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor initialization and steering zero point calibration 3 times. A
      DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor initialization and steering zero point calibration once or twice. B
      Normal system code is output. C

  4. REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  5. CLEAR DTC 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  6. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT 
    1. Initialize the rotation angle sensor and calibrate the torque sensor zero point. Refer to CALIBRATION .

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  7. RECONFIRM DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs.

      Normal system code is output. C
      NOTE:
      • If replacing the power steering link assembly, clear the rotation angle sensor calibration value, initialize the rotation angle sensor, and calibrate the torque sensor zero point. Refer to CALIBRATION .
      • If replacing the power steering link assembly, perform VGRS actuator angle initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION and VGRS actuator angle neutral calibration. Refer to CALIBRATION after wheel alignment adjustment.
