Diagnosis System

When a system error is detected, the LEXUS Link system informs the driver of the error by illuminating the red LED on the mayday switch.

If the red LED is malfunctioning, the following voice warning is provided:

"A system error has been detected. Please contact your LEXUS dealer."

1. Check current DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

   If the blinking pattern is the same as in the illustration, there is no problem.

   HINT: 

   This blinking pattern is output when both of the following conditions are met: 1) there is a LEXUS Link service subscription, and 2) in data mode, there are no current or historic DTCs.

1. Check current DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

   If the blinking pattern is the same as in the illustration, a historic DTC exists.

   Perform repairs according to the diagnostic trouble code chart.

   HINT: 

   This blinking pattern is output when both of the following conditions are met: 1) there is a LEXUS Link service subscription, and 2) in data mode, there is no current DTC but there is a historic DTC.
