DTC 5-2: Airbag Signal Communication Error: Procedure

1. Turn the power switch from ON (IG) to OFF.
2. Turn the power switch ON (IG) and wait for 10 seconds.
3. Check for the DTC again and wait for 20 seconds.

   OK

   DTC 5-2 is not output.

OK → CLEAR HISTORIC DTC 

NG: Go to next step 

1. Check for DTC using the Techstream.
   RESULT
   
   

   Result	Proceed to
   Related to supplemental restraint system	A
   No DTC	B

A → GO TO SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM 

B: Go to next step

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 90 seconds.
2. Disconnect the U45 ECU connector.
3. Disconnect the K44 airbag sensor connector.
4. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

   Standard resistance

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   U45-16 (GSW) - K44-24 (GSW3)	Below 1 Ω
   U45-16 (GSW) or K44-24 (GSW3) - Body ground	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR THEN CLEAR HISTORIC DTC 

OK → REPLACE MAYDAY ECU TOGETHER WITH MAYDAY BATTERY AND THEN PERFORM REGISTRATION
