Ignition Coil: Removal: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 15
  3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 17
  4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 16
  5. REMOVE V-BANK COVER  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 18
  6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
  7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 8
  8. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps and disconnect the noise filter connector.

    2. Disconnect the 6 ignition coil connectors.

    3. Remove the 6 bolts and the 6 ignition coils.
