Power Source Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the E3 (*1)/E18 (*2) connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E3-1 (B) (*1) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      E18-1 (B) (*2) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
      E3-10 (ACC) (*1) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 10 to 14 V
      E18-2 (ACC) (*2) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 10 to 14 V

      *1: without Navigation System

      *2: with Navigation System

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E3-18 (GND) (*1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      E18-8 (E) (*2) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      *1: without Navigation System

      *2: with Navigation System

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      OK (without Navigation System) A
      OK (with Navigation System) B
      NG C

      HINT: 

      The whole heater control panel (*1)/multi-display should be replaced if the clock assembly has a malfunction because this part is not independently supplied.

    C → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    B → REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY 

    A → REPLACE HEATER CONTROL PANEL
