Vane Pump: Installation
- INSTALL VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY
- Install the power steering vane pump with the nut.
Torque: 43 N*m (440 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf)
- Install the 2 bolts.
Torque: 39 N*m (400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf)
- Install the pressure feed tube and a new gasket to the pressure feed hose union bolt.
HINT:
Make sure the stopper of the pressure feed tube touches the power steering vane pump body as shown in the illustration, then torque the union bolt.
Torque: 49 N*m (500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf)
- Connect the return hose with the clip.
- Connect the 2 vacuum hoses with the 2 clips.
- Install the power steering vane pump with the nut.
- INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
- Put a wrench on the drive belt tensioner set bolt.
- Turn the drive belt tensioner set bolt counterclockwise and hold it.
HINT:
The drive belt tensioner set bolt has a left-hand thread. The drive belt tensioner set bolt loosens when it is turned clockwise.
- Install the fan and generator V belt.
- Release the drive belt tensioner.
HINT:
The drive belt tensioner is an auto tensioner.

- INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
- Install the air cleaner with the 3 bolts.
- Install the clamp.
- Connect the MAF meter connector.
- INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET
- Install the air cleaner inlet with the bolt.
- INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER REAR RH
- Install the under cover with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
- Install the under cover with the 16 bolts.
- BLEED AIR FROM POWER STEERING SYSTEM (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
- INSPECT POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK
