Section 11 (Cooling): Fan: Installation

  1. INSTALL COOLING FAN MOTOR 
    1. Install the fan motor with the 3 screws.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 COOLING FAN MOTOR 
    1. Install the fan motor with the 3 screws.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the 2 wires to the fan shroud.

  3. INSTALL FAN 
    1. Install the 2 fans with the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)

  4. INSTALL COOLING FAN ECU 
    1. Install the ECU with the 2 screws.
    2. Connect the 2 connectors.

  5. INSTALL FAN SHROUD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the fan shroud with the 6 bolts.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)

    2. Connect the 3 clamps and wire harness to the fan shroud.
    3. Connect the 2 connectors.

  6. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT 
    1. Install the outlet duct.
  7. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE (See  INSTALLATION   ) 
  8. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  9. INSTALL INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE (See  INSTALLATION  )

  10. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the reserve tank with the 2 bolts.
    2. Squeeze the clip and install the reserve tank inlet hose to the radiator assembly.
  11. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  12. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (See  COOLANT   ) 
  13. CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS (See  COOLING SYSTEM   ) 
  14. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER 
  15. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
  16. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION ).
      NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
