Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)
    1. Disconnect the multi-display connector M3 and television display assembly connector R14.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE CHART

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      NTSC - VV+ Always Below 1 Ω
      SGN1 - VV- Always Below 1 Ω
      SLD - SGND Always Below 1 Ω
NTSC - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
SGN1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to next step

  2. INSPECT TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY (OUTPUT SIGNAL)
    1. Reconnect the television display assembly connector R14.
    2. Measure the waveform according to the table below.

      OK

      HINT:

The waveform pattern may differ from that shown in the illustration below due to differences in oscilloscope setting. A normal television display assembly operating condition can be determined if any waveform is output.

    3. Reference: Oscilloscope waveform
      1. Terminal: VV+ - Body ground

        Setting: 200 mV/DIV., 10 μs/DIV.

        Condition: DVD display is ON.
