Inspection Procedure
- READ VALUE OF DATA LIST (DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH)
- Check the DATA LIST to ensure proper function of the door unlock detection switch.

OFF: Passenger side door lock is in LOCK position- OK: The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG: Go to step 2
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- Check the DATA LIST to ensure proper function of the door unlock detection switch.
- INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH)
- Remove the front door lock assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
MEASUREMENT CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE TABLEMeasurement Condition Door Lock Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1LOCK 7 - 8 (10 kΩ or higher) Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4UNLOCK 7 - 8 (Below 1 Ω)
NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL J/B)
- Disconnect the front door lock assembly connector.
- Disconnect the instrument panel J/B connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION REFERENCE TABLETester Connection Condition Specified Condition D11-7 (LSSR) - B5-27 (LSWP) Always Below 1 Ω D11-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
