DTC P0818 Driveline Disconnect Switch Input Circuit: Description

The ECM detects the signal indicating that the transfer is in neutral.

This DTC indicates that the signal indicating that the transfer is in neutral remains on.

DTC DETECTION CONDITION AND TROUBLE AREA

DTC Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
P0818 The signal indicating that the transfer is in neutral remains on while the vehicle is running under the following conditions for 30 sec. (2 trip detection logic):
  • The vehicle speed is 25 km/h (16 mph) or more.
  • The transfer position switch is in H4.
  • Short in transfer neutral signal
  • Transfer shift actuator assembly (transfer system)
  • ECM
