Seat Memory Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT SEAT MEMORY SWITCH 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      4(M1) - 7(E) Switch 1 pressed Below 1 Ω
      2(M2) - 7(E) Switch 2 pressed
      1(M3) - 7(E) Switch 3 pressed
      5(MRY) - 7(E) SET switch pressed

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat memory switch.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector, and check that the seat memory switch illuminates.

      OK 

      BATTERY VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS

      Measurement Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 6 (ILL+)
      Battery negative (-) → 3 (ILL-)
      Switch illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat memory switch
