How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

The wireless door lock control system troubleshooting procedures are based on the premise that the following systems are operating normally. Check these systems first before troubleshooting the wireless door lock control system.

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 

    Standard voltage: 

    11 to 14 V 

    If the voltage is below 11V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
    2. Clear the DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
    3. Recheck for DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ). Based on the DTCs output above, try to force output of the same CAN communication system DTC, LIN communication system DTC or wireless door lock control system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.

    Result 

    RESULT CHART

    Result Proceed to
    DTC is not output A
    CAN communication system DTC is output B
    LIN communication system DTC is output C
    Wireless door lock control system DTC is output D

    B: Go to CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    C: Go to LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    D: Go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

    A: Go to next step 

  4. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to the Problem Symptoms Table (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

    Result

    Fault is not listed in problem symptoms table A
    Fault is listed in problem symptoms table B

    B:  Go to step  6

    A: Go to next step 

  5. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
    1. Operation Check (See OPERATION CHECK )
    2. Terminals of ECU (See TERMINALS OF ECU )
    3. Data List / Active Test (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR )
  6. REPAIR OR REPLACE 
  7. CONFIRMATION TEST
