Inspection Procedure
- CHECK VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL (DISPLAY CHECK MODE)
- Enter the "Display Check" mode and select "Vehicle Signal Check" (See OPERATION CHECK ).
- Check that the vehicle speed on the display changes according to the actual vehicle speed.
OK: The display changes according to the actual vehicle speed.
HINT:
This display is updated once per second. As a result, it is normal for the display to lag behind the actual change in the vehicle speed.
NG: Go to step 2

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- CHECK COMBINATION METER (SPEEDOMETER OPERATION)
- Drive the vehicle and check if the function of the speedometer in the combination meter is normal.
OK: Actual vehicle speed and the speed indicated on the speedometer are the same.
HINT:
The vehicle speed sensor is functioning normally when the indication on the speedometer is normal.
NG: GO TO METER/GAUGE SYSTEM (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
OK: Go to Next Step
- Drive the vehicle and check if the function of the speedometer in the combination meter is normal.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY COMBINATION METER)
- Disconnect the F23 display connector.
- Disconnect the E77 meter connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition F23-14(SPD) - E77-6 (+S) Always Below 1 Ω F23-14 (SPD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
