Shoulder Belt Anchorage: Removal

  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH  (See REMOVAL )
  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
    NOTE:
    • After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (see INITIALIZATION ).
  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the front seat outer belt (see REMOVAL ).
  5. REMOVE HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE ANCHOR MOTOR 
    1. Remove the connector
    2. Pull the motor downward to remove it from the adjuster as shown in the illustration.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and adjuster
