Advanced Parking Guidance System: Initialization

HINT:

• If the following operations are performed "SYSTEM INITIALIZING" is displayed on the multi-display. Also, when the expected course lines not displayed the parking guidelines are displayed, pressing the parking assist mode switch and parallel parking assist mode switch causes the message "! System cannot guide under current conditions." to be displayed.

• Move the vehicle to a level area.
• Perform either of the following initialization procedures.

1. Initialization with diagnosis system 
   1. Start the diagnostic system (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
   2. Perform STEERING CENTER MEMORIZE and MAX STEERING ANGLE MEMORIZE on the STEERING ANGLE SETTING screen (see INITIALIZATION )
   3. Finish the diagnostic system (see DTC CHECK/CLEAR ).
2. Initialization with manual operation 
   1. Turn the power switch ON (IG) or start the hybrid control system.
   2. Fully turn the steering wheel to the right.*
   3. Fully turn the steering wheel to the left.*

      HINT:

      *These procedures can be performed as shown or in reverse.
