Inspection Procedure
HINT:
Operating the engine switch, any switches or any doors triggers related ECU and sensor communication with the CAN, which causes resistance variation.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

- Disconnect the A13, A14, E2 and E3 ECM connectors.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition E3-1 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω E2-2 (E01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω E2-1 (E02) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω A13-5 (E03) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω E3-4 (E04) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω E2-5 (ME01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω A14-1 (EC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK: REPLACE ECM (See REMOVAL )
