Front Axle Hub Bolt: Replacement

HINT:

• Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
• The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL 
2. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
3. REMOVE FRONT DISC  (See REMOVAL )
4. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT 
   1. Temporarily Install 2 nuts and 2 washers to the front axle hub bolt as shown in the illustration.

      HINT:

      Install hub nuts to prevent damage to the hub bolts.

   2. Using SST and a screwdriver or an equivalent tool to hold the front axle hub and bearing assembly, remove the front axle hub bolt.

      SST 09628-10011 

      NOTE: Do not damage the threads of the front axle hub bolts.

5. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT 
   1. Install a washer and nut to a new front axle hub bolt as shown in the illustration.
   2. Using a screwdriver or an equivalent tool to hold the front hub axle and bearing assembly, install the front axle hub bolt by tightening the nut.
      NOTE: Do not damage the threads of the front axle hub bolts.

      HINT:

      Install hub nuts to prevent damage to the hub bolts.

6. INSTALL FRONT DISC  (See INSTALLATION )
7. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL 

   Torque: 103 N*m (1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
