Inspection Procedure

  1. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
    1. Initialize the rotation angle sensor and calibrate the torque sensor zero point (See CALIBRATION ).
  2. RECONFIRM DTC
    1. Check for DTCs (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR )

    Result

    RESULT CHART

    Result Proceed to
DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor value initialization and steering zero point calibration 3 times*1 A
DTCs are still output after performing rotation angle sensor value initialization and steering zero point calibration 1 or 2 times*2. B
Normal system code is output C
    HINT
    • *1. The power steering ECU assembly must be replaced if DTCs are still output even after initialize the rotation angle sensor and calibrate the torque sensor zero point
    • *2. Perform the rotation angle sensor initialization and torque sensor zero point calibration again if DTCs are still output even after the initialization and calibration is performed 1 or 2 times.

B: PERFORM ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR INITIALIZATION AND TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION  (See CALIBRATION )

    C: END

    A: Go to next Step

  3. REPLACE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY
    1. Replace the power steering ECU assembly (See POWER STEERING ECU )
  4. INITIALIZE ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR AND CALIBRATE TORQUE SENSOR ZERO POINT
    1. Initialize the rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point (See CALIBRATION )
  5. RECONFIRM DTC
    1. Check for DTCs (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR )
