Seat Heater Control: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT HEATER CONTROL LH 
    1. Disconnect the seat heater control LH connector
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Standard Voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 (SWL) - 6 (E) Engine switch on (IG), seat heater switch OFF → ON Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V
      4 (B) - 6 (E) Engine switch off → on (IG) Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater control

    3. Reconnect the seat heater control LH connector
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below

      Standard Voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      5 (THL) - 6 (E) Engine switch on (IG), seat heater switch volume 1 → 3 Gradual increase between Below 1 V and 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater control

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT HEATER CONTROL RH 
    1. Disconnect the seat heater control RH connector.
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      6 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      Standard Voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 (SWR) - 6 (E) Engine switch on (IG), seat heater switch OFF → ON Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V
      4 (B1) - 6 (E) Engine switch off → on (IG) Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater control.

    3. Reconnect the seat heater control RH connector.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      5 (THR) - 6 (E) Engine switch on (IG), seat heater switch volume 1 → 3 Gradual increase between Below 1V and 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater control
