Front Bumper: Disassembly
- REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
- REMOVE FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

- REMOVE NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System)
- Disengage the 13 clamps and remove the No. 4 engine room wire
- REMOVE HEADLIGHT HOSE (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)
- Disengage the 7 clamps and remove the headlight hose.
- REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR
- Disengage the 15 claws and remove the radiator grille protector
- REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY
- Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips
- Disengage the 15 claws and 2 guides, and remove the radiator grille assembly.
- REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE
- Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips
- Disengage the 6 claws and remove the radiator grille
- REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
HINT
When removing the emblem, heat the radiator grille and emblem using a heat light.
Heating Temperature
HEATING TEMPERATURE SPECIFICATIONItem Temperature Radiator Grille 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F) NOTE: Do not heat the radiator grille and emblem excessively.- Put protective tape around the radiator grille emblem
- Insert a piano wire between the radiator grille and radiator grille emblem.
- Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends
- Pull the piano wire and cut through the double-sided tape that holds the emblem to the radiator grille.NOTE:
- If reusing the radiator grille emblem, take care not to damage the radiator grille emblem.
- Be careful not to damage the radiator grille.
- Remove the radiator grille emblem
- REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE EMBLEM (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
- Remove the 2 spring nuts.
- Disengage the claw and remove the radiator grille emblem
- REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR GRILLE
- Disengage the 14 claws and remove the lower radiator grille.
- REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER LH
- Disengage the 4 claws and remove the front fog light cover LH
- REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- REMOVE LOWER FRONT BUMPER COVER
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the lower front bumper cover
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RETAINER
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 front fender liner retainers

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the 2 front fender liner retainers
- REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH
- Remove the screw.
- Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front bumper side retainer LH.
- REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER
- Remove the front bumper energy absorber.
- REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT
- Disengage the 2 clips and disconnect the radiator support opening cover.
- Disengage the clamp and disconnect the cooler (ambient temp sensor) thermistor.
- Remove the 6 bolts and front bumper reinforcement.
