Inspection Procedure
- CHECK POWER DOOR LOCK OPERATION
- When the door control switch on the master switch assembly is operated, check that the locked doors unlock (See
OPERATION CHECK
).
OK: Locked doors unlock.
NG: GO TO POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
OK: Go to next Step
- When the door control switch on the master switch assembly is operated, check that the locked doors unlock (See
OPERATION CHECK
).
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3
- Turn the engine switch on (IG)
- Turn the Techstream on
- Enter the following menus Body Electrical / Smart Access / Data List
- Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream
Smart Access (Certification ECU (Smart Key ECU Assembly))
NORMAL CONDITION CHARTTester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note P-Door Trigger SW Front passenger side door lock switch / ON or OFF ON Entry lock switch is pressed
OFF Entry lock switch is not pressed- OK: On the Techstream screen, the display changes between ON and OFF according to the chart above.
NG: Go to step 3
OK: REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) (See REMOVAL )
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE - DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR)
- Disconnect the front door outside handle assembly (front passenger side) connector
- Disconnect the door electrical key oscillator (front passenger side) connector
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition n1-1 (TRG-) - n2-9 (TRG-) Always Below 1 Ω n1-1 (TRG-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next Step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU - FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE)
- Disconnect the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition P33-4 (TSW2) - n1-3 (TRG+) Always Below 1 Ω P33-4 (TSW2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next Step
- INSPECT FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE)
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 (TRG-) - 3 (TRG+) Lock switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher 1 (TRG-) - 3 (TRG+) Lock switch pushed Below 1 Ω
NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE) (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to next Step
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below
- REPLACE DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE)
- Replace the door electrical key oscillator (front passenger side) (See REMOVAL )
- CHECK DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OPERATION)
- Check that the entry functions operate normally (See OPERATION CHECK
).
OK: Entry functions operate normally.
NG: REPLACE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) (See REMOVAL )
OK: END (DOOR ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR IS DEFECTIVE)
- Check that the entry functions operate normally (See OPERATION CHECK
).
