Inspection Procedure
- CHECK OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (STEERING ANGLE SENSOR BRANCH LINE)
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Disconnect the steering angle sensor connector (J23).
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard resistance

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CANL)
OK: Go to Next Step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, ESS)
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION CHARTTester Connection Condition Specified Value J23-2 (ESS) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.
Standard voltage

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR
- Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.
