Park / Neutral Position Switch: Installation

  1. INSTALL PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the park/neutral position switch to the manual valve shaft.
    2. Temporarily install the bolt.

    3. Install a new lock washer with the lock nut.

      Torque: 6.9 N*m (70 kgf*cm, 61 in.*lbf)

    4. Turn the control shaft lever counterclockwise until it stops, and turn it clockwise 2 notches to set it to the neutral position.
    5. Remove the transmission control shaft lever.

    6. Align the neutral alignment mark line with the switch groove, and tighten the bolt.

      Torque: 13 N*m (133 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf)

    7. Using a screwdriver, bend the tabs of the lock washer.

    8. Connect the park/neutral position switch connector to the neutral start switch.
