Seat Heater Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH 
    1. Inspect seat heater switch operation.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

        Resistance 

        RESISTANCE REFERENCE CHART

        Tester Connection Switch Position Specified Condition
        1 (RV) - 6 (SW) OFF: Front RH Vol: 0 Below 2.5 kΩ
        OFF: Front RH Vol: 3 Below 376 Ω
        2 (REL1) - 11 (SW) OFF: Front LH Vol: 0 Below 2.5 kΩ
        OFF: Front LH Vol: 3 Below 376 Ω
        7 (BLLH) - 10 (SVSG) OFF: Front RH Vol: 0 Below 1.1 kΩ
        OFF: Front RH Vol: 3 Below 111 Ω
        8 (SVS5) - 10 (SVSG) Always Below 770-1.43 kΩ
        9 (BLRH) - 10 (SVSG) OFF: Front LH Vol: 0 Below 1.1 kΩ
        OFF: Front LH Vol: 3 Below 111 Ω

    2. Inspect seat heater switch indicator operation.
      1. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the switch, as shown in the table below.

        Standard 

        MEASUREMENT CONDITION CHART

        Measurement Condition Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (IG)
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 12 (E)
        Seat heater switch ON Indicator comes on
    3. Inspect seat heater switch illumination.
      1. Apply battery voltage and check operation of the switch, as shown in the table below.

        Standard 

        MEASUREMENT CONDITION CHART

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4 (ILL+)
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3 (ILL-)
        Illumination comes on
