Meter / Gauge System: Precaution

NOTE: When disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following systems after the cable is reconnected:

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF BATTERY TERMINAL
1. Before performing electronic work, disconnect the battery cable in order to prevent it from shorting and burning out.
2. When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery cable, turn the engine switch and combination switch off and loosen the terminal nut completely. Perform operations without twisting or prying on the terminal.
3. When the battery cable is removed, the memories of the clock, radio, DTCs, etc. are erased. So before removing it, check and make a note of them.
