Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the wireless door lock control functions operate with a transmitter (see OPERATION CHECK  ).

      Result: 

      RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      Wireless door lock control functions operate normally but turn signal light answer-back does not occur A
      Wireless door lock control functions operate normally but wireless door lock buzzer answer-back does not occur B
      Wireless door lock control functions do not operate C

    B:  Go to step  5

    C:  Go to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK TURN SIGNAL LIGHT 
    1. Check that the turn signal lights flash continuously when the hazard warning switch is pressed.

      OK: Turn signal lights flash continuously. 

    NG: Go to LIGHTING SYSTEM  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (TURN SIGNAL LIGHT) 
    1. Select ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the turn signal lights flash.

      Main Body ECU RH: 

      MAIN BODY ECU RH ACTIVE TEST REFERENCE CHART

      Item Test Details Diagnostic Note
      HAZARD Turn signal flasher relay ON / OFF -

      OK: Turn signal lights flash. 

    OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH 

    NG: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MAIN BODY ECU RH AND BODY GROUND - TURN SIGNAL FLASHER RELAY) 
    1. Disconnect the K67 ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the K25 relay connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      K67-2 (HAZ) - K25-8 (HAZ) Below 1 Ω
      K25-7 (E) - Body ground
      K67-2 (HAZ) or K25-8 (HAZ) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH 

  5. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER) 
    1. Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the wireless door lock buzzer sound.

      Main Body ECU RH: 

      MAIN BODY ECU RH ACTIVE TEST REFERENCE CHART

      Item Test Details Diagnostic Note
      BUZZ RESP SOUND Wireless door lock buzzer ON / OFF -

      OK: Wireless door lock buzzer sounds and stops. 

    OK: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH 

    NG: Go to next step 

  6. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER - MAIN BODY ECU RH AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A18 buzzer connector.
    2. Disconnect the A39 ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      RESISTANCE SPECIFIED CONDITIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      A18-1 (B) - A39-2 (BZR) Below 1 Ω
      A18-2 (E) - Body ground
      A18-1 (B) or A39-2 (BZR) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  7. CHECK WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER (OPERATION) 
    1. Temporarily replace the wireless door lock buzzer with a new or normally functioning one.
    2. Check that the wireless door lock buzzer sounds by using the transmitter LOCK / UNLOCK switch.

      OK: Wireless door lock buzzer sounds. 

    NG: REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH 

    OK: END (WIRELESS DOOR LOCK BUZZER IS DEFECTIVE)
